- William Henry Clark and Eliza Florida Holliman appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1860 in Coldspring, Polk County, Texas, and also Jones Glover, age 7, and overseer James McCormick (who later married Mary Clark), living next to Virginia Mitchell, half sister of William's first wife Adaline.. Other members of the household included Mary Clark, Charles Clark, Sarah Clark, Civility Clark and Texana Clark.
- William Henry Clark and Eliza Florida Holliman appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1870 in Livingston, Polk County, Texas, and James Clark, age 18, which does not fit in with the family as seen in earlier censuses unless it is actually daughter Sarah..
