  • Hugh Hardy Daly was born on 7 February 1906 in Kansas.
  • He married Alice Louise Adams, daughter of Powell Orgain Adams and Mary Laurence Taber, in February 1928.
  • The following appeared on 1 March 1928 in The Cameron Herald: Friends in Cameron will be interested in the following announcement of the marriage of Miss Louise Adams in Edinburg where she has been teaching school, clipped from the paper at Edinburg:
         Miss Louise Adams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. O. Adams of Cameron, and H. H. Daly, formerly of Edinnburg, were quietly married at six o'clock Sunday evening at the residence of the Rev. Chas. Riddle, pastor of the First Baptist church here. [:CR;]      The bride was dressed in a rosewood ensemble with tan hat and other accessories to match.
         Miss Mildred Graves was maid of honor and J. D. Foster was best man.
         Mrs. Daly attended Baylor College for one year in 1923 and was a student at the summer session of Baylor University in 1926. Mr. Daly came to the Valley from Kansas City, where he attended school.
         Immediately following the ceremony the young couple went back to Ediburg where they took the night train for Corpus Christi. They plan to make their future home there. [:CR;]      Mrs. Daly has been employed in the Edinburg school since September. Mr. Daly is now connected with the J. P. Miller Construction Company of Corpus Christi.
         Those from Edinburg attending the affair were Misses Hallie Byrd Little, D'Laural Beville, Mildred Graves, Katherine Erwin and J. D. Foster.

  • Hugh Hardy Daly died on 22 June 1963 at age 57 in Fort Sam Houston, Bexar County, Texas, at Brooke General Hospital.
