• Greenberry Thompson and Constance Adams appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1880 in Crockett, Houston County, Texas. Although widow Elizabeth Adams and William Adams, age 9, are identified as daughter and grandson, it appears that the relationship is more complicated. Perhaps they are Constance's daughter Elizabeth Burton and her son, inadvertently identified with Constances maiden name (?)
• Constance Adams became a widow at the 31 March 1881 death of her husband Greenberry Thompson.
• Benjamin Ewing Hail and Nancy Jane Burton appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1900 in Houston County, Texas, as well as six other family members, not yet recorded.. Other members of the household included Constance Adams.
