  • The following appeared on 11 May 1936 in The Galveston News: Mrs. Lorenzo Clarke Fisher, 91, resident here for many years and widow of a former mayor of Galveston, died Saturday at the home of her daughter in San Angelo, Tex., Mrs. George E. Webb.
         Born in Dallas County, Ala., June 5, 1844, Mrs. Fisher came to Galveston shortly after the civil war, and was a resident here until about 20 years ago. While a resident here, she married Lorenzo Clarke Fisher, who died in 1906.
         In addition to her daughter in San Angelo she is survived here by her brother-in-law, J. A. Robertson, and four nieces, Mrs. Margaret Thorne, Miss Marian Fisher, Mrs. F. A. Williams and Mrs. J. W. Keenan. A nephew, L. Robertson, is in the city for the funeral.
         Services will be held here at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the funeral home of J. Levy & Bro. Rev. Edmund H. Gibson, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, will officiate and interment will be in the New CIty Cemetery.
         Mrs. Fisher has been living in San Angelo since she left here.
