He grew up in San Diego and served in the Navy during WWII. He married Kathleen Schneider in 1943 and retired from Rohr in 1985. A life member of VFW Post 1512 and earned a Black Belt in Judo. Elmer is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathleen; son E. Dale Wood (Barbara); grandchildren Steven, and Julie; sister Imogene Greeson; brothers, James M. (Betty), Charles "Dick", half brother John. Preceded in death by his brother B.G. Wood, Jr. No services planned.          She was born June 5, 1916 in Amarillo, Texas to Bonnie and Gussie Cummings Wood. She married Francis Moore Sr. in 1935 and they divorced in 1948. She married Harold Gates in 1948; they divorced in 1978. She married Bill Greeson in 1984 and they divorced in 1985.
         She worked as a certified nurse aide and a rancher, and was a homemaker.
         Survivors include two sons, John Moore of the Philippines and James Moore of Elmer City, Wash; a daughter, Norma Burkert of Blachly; a brother, James Wood of Spring Valley, Calif; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her previous husbands and two sons, Francis Jr. and Robert, died previously.
