  • On 22 May 2010 the Harrell Plantation Cemetery historical marker was dedicated. The cemetery is located on the Trinity River in San Jacinto County on a hill at the convergence of Stephens Creek and Lake Livingston. The 1840s Harrell home that once stood about 100 yards west of the cemetery has been relocated about 15 miles away to the intersection of FM 980 & Waterwood Parkway, to avoid destruction in the process of developing the waterfront Creek Wood Bend subdivision. The log structure has been restored by local preservationists.
