  • The following appeared on 24 January 1934 in The News-Herald: Victor L. Allebach, aged 66 years, died at the family home, 161 East Bissell Avenue, at 8 o'clock this morning, after a several months' illness.
         He was born at New Bethlehem on February 13, 1867, a son of A. H. and Catherine Kramer Allebach. He had resided in Oil City for the past 16 years, moving here from East Brady. He was employed as an electrical engineer by the city water department. He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church.
         Surviving hare his widow and the following children: M. V. Allebach, Kenneth A., Cairo L. and Mrs. Francis Smith of Oil City; Daniel W., of Rochester, Pa; Mrs. Hobart Cookham, of Charleston, W. Va; Eugene V. of Williamsport and Theodore R., of Houston, Texas. Fifteen grandchildren, and one brother, Newton V. Allebach, of Springville, Mo., also survive.
  • The following appeared on 25 January 1934 in The News-Herald: Funeral services in memory of Victor L. Allebach will be conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the family home, 161 East Bissell Avenue, with Rev. Edward G. Schutz, D.D., pastor of Trinity Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be made in the East Brady Cemetery.
