  • Theresa Ann Davis was born on 18 January 1942.
  • The following appeared on 11 December 1951 in The Denton Record-Chronicle: Word has been received in Denton of the death of Albert Davis, 39, former resident here. Davis died Monday morning in the veterans hospital in Houston.
         Funeral services were to be held this after in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Pineville, La.
         . He was the son of the late W. W. Davis, who lived in Denton for many years. Albert was born and reared here and worked for a local ice company until he went to Louisiana about 10 years ago.
         He is survived by a daughter, Theresa Ann, 9, his mother, and two brothers, Whitten W. Davis of Pineville, and Jarrell Davis of Dallas.
  • The following appeared on 30 January 1958 in the Alexandria Town Talk: Mrs. Lou Anna Davis, 84, died at 6:20 p. m. Wednesday in an Alexandria hospital. She was a resident of Pineville.
         Funeral services will be held today at 2:30 p. m. from the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Pineville. Interment is to follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with Hixson Bros. funeral Home in charge.
         Survivors include two sons, W. W. of Pineville and J. W. of Livermore, Calif; and a granddaughter, Theresa Ann Davis of Pineville.
  • The following appeared on 30 August 1965 in the Baton Rouge Morning Advocate: (Pineville) Funeral services for Whitten W. Davis, 60, the Pineville division manager of Central Louisiana Electric Co., will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pineville.
         Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. [:CR;]      Davis died at 2 p.m. Saturday in a hospital in Ruidoso, N.M., where he and Mrs. Davis had gone on their vacation. He had become ill about two weeks ago in New Mexico and was hospitalized but seemed to be recovering. [:CR;]      A native of Richland County, Tex., he went to work for a subsidiary of the old Louisiana Ice and Electric Co. while he was a student at North Texas State University in Denton.
         He moved to Pineville with the company, forerunner of CLECO, in 1929 and had been with the organization 37 years, eight of them as division manager.
         He was an area civic leader for many years and served on numerous committees, particularly those contributing to the growth and development of Pineville. He was given the city's distinguished service award in 1948.
          He was a charter member, past president and secretary of the Pineville Kiwanis Club and was honored recently as the only active charter member. [:CR;]      He is survived by his wife, the former Nellie Rexer; a daughter [sic], Mrs. Theresa Ann D. Ramos, Pineville; a nephew, Ross Brunson of Memphis, Tenn., and a granddaughter.
  • The following appeared in a local newspaper: Mary Ann Day 81, of Fouke, Ark. died Thursday March 27, 2003 in a local hospital. Mrs. Day was born November 21, 1921 in Alexandria, La. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Arkansas Cattle Association and Fouke Home Extension Club. Survivors include her husband, W. M. Day Jr. of Fouke; three daughters, Theresa Ann Ramos of Boyce, La; and Mary Fulenwider and Patricia Woods of Texarkana; two sons, Charles "Pete" Day of Texarkana; and Daniel Day of Pisa, Italy; one brother, George Rabalais of Alexandria; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be at their home in Fouke.

         Mrs. Ramos was a member of Wilda Baptist Church, Boyce and a Charter member of the Women's Auxiliary for the Cotile Volunteer Fire Department.
         Her mother, Maryann Rabalais Day, precedes her in death.
         Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 47 years, Reuben R. Ramos; [step-]father, William M. Day, Jr; son, Roger Ramos and wife, Wendy; daughters, Becky Ramos Candiloro and husband, Joe, Shaun Ramos McFatter and husband, John; Robin Ramos Richey and husband, Eddie and Carmen Ramos Huffman and husband, Len; brother, Pete Day; sisters, Mary Ruth Fulenwider and Patricia Woods; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
