         Richardson was interested in extensive oil operations in Texas and Mexico before he turned to ranching.
         With Harry Reynolds and the late Tom Cranfill of Dallas, he organized what is now the General Crude Oil Company of Houston.
  • The following appeared on 16 November 1940 in The Corsicana Daily Sun: Miss Gertrude Patrick who returned home from a month's visit in the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Richardson of alpine, received a message Friday telling of the death of Mr. Richardson Friday morning. Miss Patrick and her brother, Billy, left at once for Alpine and will remain over Sunday for the funeral services. They were accompanied by Mrs. S. G. Ward of Mexia, sister-in-law of mrs. Richardson.
         Miss Patrick and Billy had the pleasure of accompanying Mr. and Mrs. Richardson on an extended automobile trip the past summer, and Mr. Richardson's untimely death has come as a great shock to them, and to all acquainted with him and his wife, who was a Richland girl. [:CR;]      Mr. Richardson was well known in the oil circles of the state as he has been in the oil business for many years.
