- The following appeared on 19 April 1914 in The Greensboro Daily News: (Hickory, April 18) Invitations reading as follows have been sent out for the marriage of a popular young Hickory couple: "Mr. and Mrs. Julius A. Sellers request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter, Ella Jackson, and Horace Cleveland Lutz, on the evening of Wednesday, April 29, 1914, at 7:30 o'clock, First Baptist church, Hickory, N. C. Reception Wednesday evening, April 29, from 8 to 9:30 o'clock at home." After the marriage they will be at home at the Huffy hotel.

She will act as dame of honor to the Sellers-Lutz marriage to take place on Wednesday. - She married Horace Cleveland Lutz on 29 April 1914 in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina, at First Baptist Church.
