She married William Dewey Kempe, son of William M. Kempe and Emily Honor McCracken, on 18 September 1974 in Parker County, Texas.
Viola Mae Littleton became a widow at the 22 May 1995 death of her husband William Dewey Kempe.
Viola Mae Littleton died on 26 June 2004 at age 90 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.
She was interred at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.

     Viola was born Oct. 7, 1913, in Cleburne.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Kempe; and children, Ruth Reese, Joyce Wood, Kenneth Wood and Charles Wood.
     Survivors: Granddaughter, Sharon Perry and husband, Jerry, of Cleburne; grandson, Thomas A. Reese and wife, Sandra, of Benbrook; granddaughter, Sharon Reed of Benbrook; granddaughters, Marvitta Adams of Grand Prairie and Dana Triplitt and husband, Darren, of Springtown; grandson, Chuck Wood of Fort Worth; and numerous great-grandchildren.
