Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Grace St. Luke's Episcopal Church, where she was a communicant, with burial in Memorial Park. Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of the Naval Academy Alumni Association, Zona Club and the Gailor Chapter of Episcopal Church Women. Mrs. Schaefer, the widow of Lt. Joshua James Nix and Osborne Schaefer, leaves two sons, Walter C. Nix of Memphis and Robert T. Nix of Atlanta; three stepsons, Osborne Schaefer Jr. of Heber Springs, Ark., and Dudley P. Schaefer and William W. Schaefer, both of Memphis, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Grace St. Luke's Episcopal Church or to a church of the donor's choice.
