         Mrs. Pegues, a widow who is blind in one eye and almost blind in the other, takes the preachments of the Save Our Water Committee to heart. Not a drop of water used in her house runs down the drain. All of it is caught in basins and buckets and used to water the flowers.
         And that's all the water the flowers at her house get, according to Mrs. Fred Bancroft, her nurse.
  • Lula Graham died on 21 December 1952 at age 76 in San Diego County, California.
  • She was interred at Fairview Cemetery, Midland, Midland County, Texas.
