  • Wiley Moses and Eliza Bartley appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1870 in Madison County, Texas. Other members of the household included Isabella Moses, William Moses. Son William (age 1) is identified as W. Taylor Moses. In 1880, there are two Williams enumerated in the household, ages 12 and 6, and later records indicate that the younger was William Taylor Moses. Perhaps the elder William actually was deceased at the time of the 1880 census.

Other members of the household included Isabella Moses, William Moses, Annie Elizabeth Moses, William Taylor Moses, James Moses, Roberta Moses and Felix Moses. In view of the fact that there are two sons William in the household, ages 12 and 6, apparently both named "Wiliam Taylor Moses, it seems possible that the elder William actually was deceased at the time of the 1880 census.

  • Isabella Moses appeared in the US federal census of 15 April 1910 enumerated with her daughter and family: Henry (age 23) and Oversa (24) Foster and daughter Augusta B. (7.)
  • She was employed as a laundress, according to the 1910 census.
  • Isabella Moses appeared in the US federal census of 1 January 1920 in Galveston, Texas, at 2917 Avenue M. Other members of the household included Ainsley Moses. Also in the household is Luther Campbell (age 45), also identified as Belle's brother.
  • She was operating a boarding house, according to the 1920 census.
  • Isabella Moses died on 22 July 1928 in Galveston, Texas, at 2917 Avenue M at her residence . Her death was officially witnessed by Oversia White.
  • She was interred at Madisonville City Cemetery, Madisonville, Madison County, Texas.
