         Beth was born on October 14, 1922, in Crystal City, Texas. She was the only child of Howard and Ruth Pegues Bidelspacher. She graduated from Crystal City High School in 1940.
         Beth and her husband, Ocono, lived and raised their family in Raymondville, TX. They also lived in Ecuador and Honduras. She was a buyer for Vogue and went on to start her own women's and children's clothing store, the Deb-n-Air, in the 1950's.
         Beth was a stylish, beautiful and out going woman who loved being with her family and friends. She was active with the Junior League in Raymondville and various other social and charitable organizations. Beth loved playing golf and bridge. In her later years she was content to watch golf on T.V. and never missed a major tournament. Beth loved "talking golf" with her grandson, Chris. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
         Beth lost her father, Howard, when she was only 12 and her mother, Ruth, in 1966. Beth lost her husband, Ocono in 1985 and her youngest child, Bill in 1991.
         Since Ocono's death in 1985 she has lived in Austin to be close to her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her joy and inspiration.
         Beth is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cherri and James Spradling; her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Mary Brook; grandson Chris Purcell; granddaughters, Karen Purcell, and Marianne Bush and husband, Hadyn; step-granddaughters, Trish Sierer and husband, Brian, Kristi Carmody and husband, John. Beth is also survived by seven great-granddaughters.
         Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2007, at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
         Memorial contributions may be made to the Battered Women's Shelter in Austin.
         The family wishes to give special thanks to the Light-House Hospice.
