He was preceded in death by his father, Boles B. Pegues, Sr. and mother, Mary S. Pegues, his wife of 27 years, Nan Noojin Pegues; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
         Survivors include his daughters, Julia P. Caro (Duke) of Prattville, AL and Carol Dorsey (Bob) of Mobile, AL; son, Boles B. Pegues III (Lynn) of Cussetta, AL; grandchildren, Lydia Dorsey, Peter Dorsey, Adele Pegues and Allie Pergues; and special friend, Clariece Perdue.
         Mr. Pegues was born on Dec. 26, 1924 in Marion, Al and was a long time resident of Marion Junction, where he served as superinendent of Marion Junction Presbyterian Church. He was an avid horseman and cattleman. He served in the infantry in Europe during World War II.
         A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Travis Barnes officiating.
         In lieu of flowers he family asks that memorials be made to a charity of choice.
