He was born in Knoxville, Tenn., January 20, 1849, and removed to this parish about thirty-five years ago where he made his home until his death. He was well known in Bossier parish. A good man and Christian, honorable, courteous and polite, he had a host of friends who sorrow with his bereaved wife and children.
         The body of the deceased was buried on Sunday in Cottage Grove cemetery in the presence of a large number of friends.
