  • The following appeared on 1 March 1916 in The Montgomery Advertiser: Thomas Reuben Sharp, fifty-one years of age, a life-long resident of Montgomery, died at his residence, No. 416 Monroe Street, Tuesday night at 8 o'clock. Mr. Sharp's death followed a brief illness. He was a member of the Dexter Avenue Methodist church, and also a member of Jewel Lodge, Knights of Pythias.
         He is survived by his wife, two sons, Reuben Sharp and Tom Sharp, and one daughter, Mrs. Z. C. Lewis, and one sister, Miss Sallie Sharp, all of this city.
         Funeral services will take place from the residence Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, Rev. J. W. Frazer officiating.
         . Interment will be in Oakwood cemetery.
