He was a member of St. David's Episcopal Church. Mr. Pegues was a member of the PALSNET, ARRL and an Extra Class Ham Operator. He was the Chesterfield County Emergency Ham Commucations Coordinator and a reporter for the National Weather Service.
Surviving are his wife, Emma Pegues of Cheraw, S.C; sons, John Frederick Pegues of Cheraw, S.C., Russell Franklin Price of Florence, S.C. and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2003, at St. David's Episcopal Church, Cheraw, S.C. A committal service will be held in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.
