Benefield, a native of Mississippi and long time resident of Mobile, currently residing in Fairhope, died Sunday, July 15, 1990 in a local hospital. He is retired Personnel Employment Specialist with Civil Service and a Veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, June Daves Benefield, Fairhope; three daughters, Mary June Jones, Odum, GA, Elizabeth Jane McCain, Mobile and Joan Lord, Fairhope; three sons, Guy N. Benefield, Jr., Albertville, AL, Gary L. Benefield, Atlanta, GA and Greg G. Benefield, Saudia Arabia; one brother, Oscar H. Benefield, Mobile; and one sister, Gloria Davis, Mobile; eight grandchildren and one great grand child and many other relatives and friends. Grave side services and interment will be held Tuesday, July 17, 1990 at 11 A.M. from the Lartigue Cemetery in Mobile. Visitation will be Monday evening from 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rosary to be recited at 7:30. Funeral arrangements by Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope Chapel, 151 S. Bayview St., Fairhope, AL.

Benefield, Atlanta; a brother, Oscar Benefield, Mobile; a sister, Gloria Davis, Mobile; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Bayview Funeral Home's Fairhope chapel was in charge of arrangements.
