  • The following appeared on 2 May 1977 in the Corsicana Daily Sun: Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel for William Wood Langham, Sr., 89, resident of Rice, who died Saturday in the Corsicana Nursing Home.
         The Rev. Glenn Jones will officiate, with burial following at Rice Cemetery.
         He was a native of Shepard and lived in Rice 22 years. He was also a retired auditor, rancher, and a veteran of World War I.
         Survivors include his widow, Mrs. W.W. Langham of Rice, a son, William Wood Langham Jr., of Marlow Heights, Md; a daugher, Miss Mary Jane Langham of Inglewood, Calif; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister, Miss Emily Langham of Cleveland.
         Pallbearers are Carroll Barton, Virgin Atchley, Ernest McIntosh, Ronald Cavender, J. T. Allen, James Fortson, A. B. Jarrett, and Chris Atchley.
