The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today at Elliott Sons Lumpkin Road Funeral Home with Edward Thurmond officiating. Burial will be in Cosnahan Cemetery, McBean.
Mrs. Avret was a native of Augusta and had lived here most of her life. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include two sons, Wirt Nathaniel Avret Jr., Martinez, and Julian Odell Avret, Grovetown, Ga; one daughter, Marjorie Elizabeth Coomer, York, S.C; two brothers, Olin O. Cosnahan and R. W. Cosnahan, Augusta; and one sister, Vonnie Allen, McBean.
Pallbearers will be Mike Reagan, Bill Rine, Richard Chancey, Jim Breeden, Royce Greenway and Darnell Starrett.
