  • The following appeared on 27 December 1943 in The Birmingham News: Funeral services for Mrs. Albert E. Meadow, 75, of 2900 Mountain Brook Parkway, were held Monday at Ridout's Brown-Service Mortuary with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Meadow, who was the wife of th late Dr. Albert E. Meadow, Birmingham physician, died Sunday night at a local hospital following a short illness.
         Mrs. Meadow was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, a former chairman of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, and a member of the Highland Methodist Church.
         Surviving are two sons, Bert K. Meadow, Birmingham, and Percy L. Meadow, Miami, Fla; a daughter, Mrs. Howard Walden, Palisades, N. Y; three granddaughters, Mrs. Lambert Horn and Mrs. William McTyeire, Birmingham, and Miss Elizabeth Walden, Palisades, N. Y; two grandsons, William Meadow, Mobile, and Beverly Walden, Palisades, N. Y.
         Active pallbearers were Lambert Horn, William McTyeire, Jr., Leslie Adams, James R. Adams, Arthur Adams, Jr.,Tthornton Estes, Charles Estes, T. M. Smith, Lyman Berry and L. A. Whetstone.
         Honorary pallbearers were A. A. Adams, Sr., George Brewer, Curtis Hasty, D. G. Meadow, Frank Butler, Sr., W. D. Phillips, L. C. Bamburger, C. A. Lord, A. L. Best, Ray Sullivan, H. M. Grasse, Roscoe Harris, Reese Adamson, Carlton Smith, J. Frank Watson, John Prowell and members of the Kiwanis and Redstone Clubs.
