  • The following appeared on 7 July 1911 in The Montgomery Advertiser: Miss Kathleen Adams, of Birmingham, the attractive guest of Miss Florence Blue, furnished the inspiration for a most delightful party on Thursday evening, when Miss Blue entert6ained at a candy pulling in her honor.
         The guests were entertained in the lovely back yard of the home, which presented a picturesque scene for the occasion. The trees and shrubbery were strung with hundreds of Japanese lanterns in rich and varied colors. Here and there were arranged rosy corners.
         In an artistically decorated tent Mrs. J. G. Andrew and Miss Mary Elizabeth Thweatt told the fortunes of the guests. An old fashioned candy pulling furnished much amusement, the girls wearing pink and blue aprons. During the evening punch was also served.
         About one hundred young people were guests of the evening.

  • She married Tom Beulah Burk, son of John E. Burk, on 15 April 1918 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama.
  • Caroline Catherine Cook appeared in the US federal census of 1 January 1920 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama, at 2921 Juniper Avenue. Other members of the household included Kathleen Adams, Roberta C. Adams, James Robert Adams Jr., Robert Leslie Adams and Tom Beulah Burk.

  • The following appeared on 25 June 1933 in The Birmingham News-Age-Herald: Mrs. Kate C. Adams, age 77, 2921 10th Ave., S., died at the residence at noon Saturday. She is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Burt M. Meadow, Mrs. Joe Horn and Mrs. Tom Burk; one step-daughter, Mrs. Theo Koenig; 2 sons, Leslie and James; one step-son, J. B. Adams. Funeral services will be held Sunday, 4 p.m. from the residence, 2921 10th Ave., S. Interment in Elmwood, Ridout directing.

  • Kathleen Adams died in September 1977 at age 88.
