         Ward died Wednesday at his home, 737 Elsbeth, after a long illness. He had been a Dallas resident for twenty-one years.
         Ward came to Dallas in 1828 and opened the Ward Lunch Room in Oak Cliff. He retired in 1943 because of ill-health.
         He was a member of the Cliff Temple Baptist Church.
         Surviving are his wife; a son, Seth Robert Ward, Dallas; mother, Mrs. James O. Ward, Muskogee, Okla; three brothers, Neal Ward and Carl Ward, both of Hollis, Okla., and Ethridge Ward of Hereford, Deaf Smith County; three sisters, Mrs. W. H. Worthy, McKinney, Collin County; Mrs. J. W. Parks, Hillsboro, and Mrs. H. H. Horton, Muskogee, Okla; and one grandson.
         Pallbearers will be T. R. Dyer, W. E. Fletcher, W. H. Ruth, Peter Pickard, Worley Stapleton and Claude Simmons.
