- He witnessed the marriage of Hampton LeGrand and Martha Whitaker on 2 July 1839 in Richmond County, North Carolina; at the residence of Col. James LeGrand, with the Rev. Mr. Rowman officiating.
- Wade LeGrand appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1850 in Black Jack District, Richmond County, North Carolina, living near his brothers Hampton, William and Wade.. Other members of the household included Ermin LeGrand.
- He was a farmer, according to the 1850 census.
- The following appeared on 18 December 1854 in the Carolina Observer: Mr. Wade LeGrand of Richmond county, had the misfortune to have his dwelling house burned one day last week.--N. C. Argus.
- Wade LeGrand died on 11 April 1858 at age 69 in Richmond County, North Carolina.
- He was interred at LeGrand Cemetery, Richmond County, North Carolina.
