Diffley, at whose residence she died; Mrs. John Cox, of East Highlands; Mrs. Dr. Cameron, of Atlanta; Mrs. William Boothe, Mrs. A. A. Richards and Mrs. J. A. Barr, of Phenix City, Mrs. Ida Williams [sic], Mrs. Emma Hadley, Mrs. C. LeFrancis, of Pensacola, Fla; Mrs. Affa Moore, of this city. She also leaves three nephews, as follows: Mr. W. B. Smith, of Hamilton; Mr. Joe Smith, of Truitt, Ala; Mr. R. E. Moore, of Phenix City. [There is little doubt that Ida Williams Ida Smith, wife of John William Mitchell.]

  • The following appeared on 13 June 1908 in The Columbus Enquirer-Sun: The funeral of little Willie Keith Booth, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Booth, took place at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon from the residence of Mrs. Alice Barr, conducted by the Rev. Lamar Jones, and interment was in the Pine Grove cemetery. The pallbearers were four little girls as follows: Mabel Hollis, Maggie Smith, Madalene Smith and Mabel Clair Brooker.
  • Georgia Alice Moore died on 24 November 1909 at age 51 in Phenix City, Russell County, Alabama, at her home on Thirteenth Street.

  • The following appeared on 25 November 1909 in The Columbus Enquirer-Sun:
         Mrs. Georgia Alice Barr, one of the best known residents of Phenix City and Girard, died at 3:30 o'clock yesterday on Thirteenth street, Phenix City. She has been suffering for over five months with a lingering illness, bearing her pains with Christian fortitude. Conscious to the last, surrounded by her devoted children, she passed away in a quiet sleep, confident of soon being in the company of Him who allows no suffering and who allays all pain.
         Mrs. Barr was 52 years old, a conscientious member of the Presbyterian church and a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by five children, Messrs. Charles, Cecil and Edgar, and Misses Beatrice and Bessie. She also leaves a step-son, Mr. Henry Barr, of Columbus. Two sisters survive, being Mrs. W. L. Booth, of Phenix City and Mrs. A. A. Richards of Mobile, and one brother, Mr. I. H. Moore, of Phenix City. Her mother, Mrs. L. E. Moore of Phenix City, also survives.
         The funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Presbyterian church in Phenix City conducted by Rev. G. A. Hough, assisted by Rev. Oliver Dobbs. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
