  • It is possible that Anderson Hunt was the son of a son of Memucan (1729-1808) and Mary Wade Hunt. While the families of sons William (1757-1833) and Thomas G. Hunt (1779-1865) appear to be carefully documented, his apparent sons John (1755- ), Anderson (1763- ), and Edward (1769- ) appear to be candidates for father of Anderson Hunt. From William's son Memucan's will, we see that his brother Thomas Taylor Hunt had a connection with Tipton County, Tennessee. Further research is required. We'd be mighty grateful if someone with an intimate knowledge of this family would be willing to share insights into the connection.
