She was born October 18, 1913 in Bay City to James W. Rugeley and Catherine Sargent Rugeley.
She was a lifelong resident of Bay City, a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, a member of the St. Mark's Altar Guild and the Junior Service League.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Rakestraw Roberts of Dallas and Pamela Sue Rakestraw of Houston; her son, Rick Rakestraw of Bay City; her grandchildren, John Christopher and Katie Roberts Anderson; and by one great grandchild.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2004 at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Bay City with the Rev. Bruce Bonner officiating.
Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
