She was born in Huntsville, Texas on July 30, 1910 and lived in San Antonio, Texas for over 40 years. After the death of her husband of 52 years, J. O. Parr Jr., she moved to Knoxville, Tenn., and in 1990, to Richmond. Her parents were Horace F. and Roberta Lamkin Leigh. She had three brothers and a sister, all deceased: Mack F., Horace R., Brent L. and Mary F. Leigh. She is survived by a daughter, Mary K. (Kathy) Reams of Richmond; and a son, J. O. Parr III of Potomac, Md. Her grandchildren are Leigh M. Reams Fannin Ward (deceased), Brent S. Reams and Elizabeth K. Reams Johnson of Richmond, Frances K. Parr Harris of Baltimore, Md. and Josie A. Parr Welling of San Rafael, Calif. She also leaves four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, four sisters-in-law; and a dear friend, Mildred Dougherty of San Antonio. Interment was Saturday, May 15 in the Parr family plot at the Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City, Okla.
