  • The following appeared on 16 April 1790 in The (Charleston) City Gazette: All persons who have any demands against the several copartnerships of Henry Rugeley and company, Rugeley and Coram, Rugeley and Chaters, Rowland Rugeley, or Rowland and Henry Rugeley, are requested immediately to send them in attested, to one of the subscribers, that provision may be made for settling the same; and all persons indebted to either of the above mentioned copartnerships, are required to make payment agreeable to the instalment law, to one of the subscribers, without delay.   • The following appeared on 1 November 1791 in The (Charleston) City Gazette: To be sold by public auction, at Camden, on Tuesday, The 22d day of November next, Nine valuable Negroes, late the property of Messrs. Rowland and Henry Rugeley, consisting of men, women and children. The conditions of the sale-- will be twelve months credit, giving bond and approved security with interest from the date, and such debts of Rowland & Henry Rugeley, as are mentioned in his assignment to the subscribers will be received in payment.
