  • He married Geraldine Harper Worrill, daughter of John Raymond Worrill and Sarah Geraldine Jourdan, on 28 June 1893 in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, at 1445 Second Avenue.
  • The following appeared on 29 June 1893 in The Columbus Enquirer-Sun: The marriage of Mr. L. E. Floyd and Miss Geraldine Worrill was consummated at the residence of Mr. John R. Worrill, 1445 Second avenue, in the presence of only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties, yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. /P/ The ceremony was performed by Rev. W. C. Lovett, of St. Paul church, after which the couple were driven to the Union depot and left on the Georgia Midland train for a two weeks' stay at Cumberland and Tybee. /P/ Mr. Floyd is a member of the firm of Allen & Floyd, general merchandise at Chipley, Ga., and is a very popular and enterprising young business man. The young lady whom he has wedded is exceedingly pretty and intellectual, and will make him a very happy wife.
