J. M. Evans

    Dr. J. M. Evans lived in Beat 5, Montgomery County, probably near Lone Oak. He was assigned to road work in January 1846. J. M. Evans was on the 1846 tax list and owned land 250 acres of land in the Joseph Lindley Survey.He paid no poll tax, indicating that he was over age. He was gone from Montgomery County by 1847, and nothing further is known about him.
