         The injury occurred while Mr. Madeley was trying to steady a heavy gas pipe so that his son, Ed, could drive the car over it. The pipe was lying across the driveway to the garage just back of the Madeley residence. Mr. Madeley placed a crowbar under the pipe to steady it while his son drove into the garage. The weight of the car was so heavy that it pushed the pipe on Mr. Madeley's right foot and broke the small bone just above the ankle.
