P. Mooty, and Mr. McDougald Dexter, were united in marriage by the Rev. Mr. Bourne, of St. Marys Church.

         The ushers entered first -- Messrs. Thomas Hudson, Curtis Jordan, William Hart and John Hanserd.
         The maid of honor, Miss Will Cherry, of Seneca, S.C.. . . immediately preceded the bride.
         The bride entered with her brother, Mr. Hugh Mooty, who gave her in marriage, and was met at the chancel by the groom and his best man, Mr. Marshall Dixon. . . .
         A reception at the home of the mother of the bride followed the ceremony. Only the relatives of both parties were present. . . . a journey of several weeks to the north. . . . Mr. Dexter, the groom, is a young man of fine character, a member of one of Columbus most prominent families, and a gentleman who is held in sincere esteem for his sterling worth. He holds the responsible position of superintendent of one of the city's largest corporations, being in charge of the affairs of the Gas Light Company, of Columbus.
