  • She married James M. Hopper, son of John Hugh Hopper and Unknown (?), on 31 January 1856 in Marengo County, Alabama.
  • The Hopper family has not yet been found in the 1860 census.
  • James M. Hopper and Keturah Leah Powers appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1870 in Dayton, Marengo County, Alabama, enumerated not far from the family of Kitty's brother John L. Powers..   • Keturah Leah Powers died on 31 July 1913 at age 74 in Marengo County, Alabama.
