  • Malachi Murphy's will, dated 5 September 1773, was written in Prince Frederick Parish, Craven County, South Carolina. Named in the will as the children of his deceased wife Hannah: Moses Murfee, Malachi Sanders, Nathaniel and James Sanders, Mary Sanders, Massey/Mercy [Marcia], Mercy [Marcia] Pegues, daughter of William Pegues and Elizabeth [Saunders] his Wife deceased; and the Sons and Daughters of the Reverend Nicholas Bedgood and Mary [Saunders] his Wife.
