Named in the will as the children of his deceased wife Hannah: Moses Murfee, Malachi Sanders, Nathaniel and James Sanders, Mary Sanders, Massey/Mercy [Marcia], Mercy [Marcia] Pegues, daughter of William Pegues and Elizabeth [Saunders] his Wife deceased; and the Sons and Daughters of the Reverend Nicholas Bedgood and Mary [Saunders] his Wife.
  • She married Claudius Pegues Jr., son of Claudius Pegues and Henrietta Butler, on 23 January 1775 in Marlborough District, South Carolina.
  • Marcia Saunders became a widow at the 23 November 1792 death of her husband Claudius Pegues Jr.
  • Marcia Saunders died on 3 November 1813 at age 62 in Cheraw District, South Carolina.
  • She was interred at the Old Pegues Burial Ground, Wallace, Marlboro County, South Carolina.
