- He married Unknown Philpots.
- On 6 November 1716, Edward Wood signed the following will:
Know all men by these presents that I Edward Wood Sr. for divers good causes me thereunto moving but more especially for the natural love and affection which I have and do bear unto my son William Wood doe give all and every part and parcel of my Plantation which I now live upon and posseth within Kings Creek after my decease, only my wife to have free priviledge to live upon ye said Plantation wholly to fall into the hands of my said son William Wood and his heirs forever lawfully begotten of his body.
In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand this 6th day of November 1716. Edward Wood (seal)
Witnessed by Anne Nash and Thomas Nash Sr., recorded Princess Anne Court on the 5th day of December 1716 (Will & Deed Book #3, Part 1, page 132). - William Wood died circa 1769.
