  • The following appeared on 3 August 1928 in the Lockport Union-Sun & Journal: (Wendelville) The third annual Wagner reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Shipston, of Youngstown, last Sunday. Dinner and supper were served on tables on the lawn.
         After dinner the business meeting was held. It was opened by a song, "America," followed by prayer. Then came roll call showing fifty-six present. During the year there were two marriages, one birth and one death.
         The oldest member was Mrs. Lena Wagner, of Bear Ridge, and the youngest member, Jack D. Crow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Crow, of Youngstown.
         The following officers were re-elected: Philip Wagner, president; Martin Wagner, vice president; Mrs. Frank Phillips, secretary; Jacob Wagner, treasurer; Miss Edna Cutler, historian.
         The afternoon was spent in playing games, prizes going to the winners. Next year the reunion will meet at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Graff, of Wendelsville. . . . Mrs. Lena Wagner, of Bear Ridge, is spending a few weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Edward Shipston, of Youngtown.
