  • The following appeared on 10 February 1933 in the Lockport Union-Sun & Journal: Augustus C. Ford, seventy, retired farmer, dropped dead yesterday of an acute heart attack at his home in Wilson. He was stricken a few minutes after he had come in from the street.
         Mr. Ford was born in Germany but came to this country with his parents at the age of six months. For twenty years he lived at Niagara Falls where he was connected with the DeVeaux farm. Later he moved to North Hartland and then to the town of Wilson. He had made his home in Wilson village since he retired ten years ago.
         For nearly fifty years Mr. Fors had been a member of Niagara Falls lodge, 81, I. O. O. F., of which he was a past noble grand. He was a member of Ontario lodge, 376, F. and A. M., of Wilson.
         Surviving are his wife, three sons, William Ford, Niagara Falls; Floyd Ford, Detroit and Louis Ford, Buffalo.
         Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, the Rev. Fay H. Chapman of the Wilson Methodist church, officiating. There will be a Masonic service at the grave in North Ridge Cemetery.
