  • The following appeared on 8 July 1935 in The Niagara Falls Gazette: Mrs. Catherine Schrock, 59 years old, wife of John Schrock, 1234 Hyde Park boulevard, died at her home at 8 o'clock last night, after an illness of several years. Mrs. Schrock had been a resident of this city for the past 40 years.
         Surviving her, besides her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Meltz, of this city; three sisters, Mrs. Thomas Richardson, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Fred Seams and Mrs. John Thomas, of Reading, Pa; two brothers, Grif Griffith, of Norristown, Pa., and Jenkins Griffith of Mahanoy City, Pa.
         The funeral will be held from the Cornell and Daggett funeral chapel, 1617 Main street, at 3 p. m. today, with interment in Mahanoy City, Pa.
         Mrs. Schrock was a member of the ladies' auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.

Funeral services will be held from the home, 760 Tenth St., Saturday at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Robert E. Mohr officiating. Interment in Oakwood cemetery. Deceased was a member of 785 F. & A. M., also Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.
  • The following appeared on 19 September 1947 in The Niagara Falls Gazette: John Shrock, 70, of 760 Tenth street, a resident of this city for the last 27 years, died yesterday at Memorial hospital after being in poor health the last two years. He was born at Hamburg, Pa.
         Prior to his retirement five years, ago, Mr. Shrock had been employed as a passenger conductor with the Lehigh Valley railroad for 41 years. He was a member of Local 639, Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen association, and Lodge 785, F and AM.
         Mr. Shrock is survived by his wife, Frances; a daughter, Mrs. Norman Meitz, this city; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Pennegar, Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Mayme Stanton, Tomaqua, Pa., and Mrs. Harry Kranch, Allentown, Pa., and a grandson.
         The Rev. Robert E. Mohr will conduct funeral services at the home tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be in Oakwood cemetery.
