  • The following appeared on 16 June 1905 in The Buffalo Express: William H. Hotchkiss, appointed by Judge Hazel as special master to pass upon objections against the discharge from bankruptcy of Robert F. Sniggs, has recommended that the objections, which were drawn up by Attorney Gordon F. Matthews, be overrulled and that Sniggs be discharged.
    Sniggs is a real-estate agent. He has done business in four different names in the last year: first in his own, then in his wife's, then in his stepdaughter's and next in that of his stepdaughter's husband.
  • He married Mary Elizabeth Davis, daughter of Junius Davis and Eta Vanpatter, on 16 December 1907 in Yarmouth Centre, Elgin County, Ontario, Canada, by license, with Rev. E. Leslie Pidgeon officiating. Witnesses were J. W. Davis and Willard Davis, Yarmouth Centre. At the time of their marriage, the groom was a widower, real estate agent, residing in Buffalo, New York, and the bride was divorced, residing in Yarmouth Centre.
