  • The following appeared on 18 January 1926 in The Binghamton Press: Peter J. Sauter, aged 78 years, died Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Katherine B. Green, 26 McKinley avenue. The survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Green, Mrs. Austin Teed, Mrs. Miles C. Root, Mrs. Stewart Loree [sic], Mrs. Robert Morris and Mrs. Ray Parkes, all of Endicott; and two sons, John Sautter of Elmira and Frank J. Sautter of Endicott. A prayer service will be held at the Green home tonight, 7 o'clock. Burial will be at Oregon Hill, Lycoming county, Pa.

Sautter, 67, of Locke, died of a heart attack Monday afternoon while working at the home of Eugene Mosher in the Groton-Locke Road. /P/ Mr. Sautter is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Sautter; four daughters, Mrs. Violet Misulich of Endicott, Mrs. Gertrude Bailey of Groton, R.D.2; Mrs. Verma Hilliard of Ludlowville and Mrs. Katherine Mosher of Spring St., Groton; three sons, Lanson Sautter of Groton, R.D. 2; William Sautter, of Watkins Glen, and Merle Sautter, of the U.S. Army, stationed in Maryland; one brother, John Sautter of Elmira; five sisters, Mrs. Catherine Green, Mrs. Margaret Root, Mrs. Wilimina Morse, Mrs. Myra Love and Mrs. Della Teed, all of Endicott, 15 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. /P/ Friends may call from 7 to 9 p. m. Tuesday at the home of Robert J. Booth, 140 Elm St., Groton. /P/ Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Wellsboro, Pa., the Rev. Cobb, minister of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Oregon Hill, Pa.
  • The following appeared on 29 March 1958 in The Binghamton Press: Mrs. Della Teed, 84, of 106 Grant Avenue, Endicott, widow of Austin Teed, died at 5:30 p. m. yesterday at her home after a long illness. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George (Celia) Root; a son, Leon E. Teed, both of Endicott; a stepson, Clayton C. Teed of Oregon Hill, Pa; a granddaughter, Mrs. Alton (Betty) Greene of Endwell; a grandson, Raymond Teed of Endicott; two great-granddaughters, the Misses Jacqueline and Zandra Burke, both of Endwell; four sisters, Mrs. Miles (Margaret) Root of Endicott RD, Mrs. Katherine Green, Mrs. Stewart (Myra) Love, and Mrs. Wilhelmina Morris, all of Endicott; a brother, John Sautter of Elmira Heights, several neices, nephews and cousins. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Endicott, its Philathea Class, the Clover Leaf Rebecca Lodge 136, Endicott, its Clover Leaf Club, and the Senior Citizens Club, Endicott. The body was moved to the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, where the family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p. m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m.
  • The following appeared on 29 March 1964 in The Binghamton Press: Mrs. Margaret A. Root, 85, 1311 Airport Rd., Endicott, died Tuesday morning at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Miles C. Root, Endicott; a daughter, Mrs. Leah Roff, Vestal; two sons, Nelson Root, Owego and Leman (Pete) Root, Endicott; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Green, Mrs. Myra Love and Mrs. Wilhelmina Morris, all of Endicott; a brother, John Sautter, Elmira Heights; also several neices and nephews. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Endicott and retired in 1954 from Endicott Johnson Crop. after 19 years of service. The body was removed to the H. P. Moat Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal where funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a. m. The Rev. Henry Clay Banks, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Endicott will officiate. Interment services will be held at 2:30 p. m. at Oregon Hill Cemetery, Morris, Pa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p. m.
