         The accident also took the lives of a former Deadwood resident, Mrs. Francis Hoffman, 38, and her daughters Peggy and Linda.
         Davies, a former resident of Lead, was a passenger in a car driven by Arthur Jarvi, Belle Fourche, who escaped serious injuries.
         The final rites for Davies will be held at 2 p.m. at the McColley Funeral Home. Interment will be in the West Lead cemetery.
         Born Nov. 1 1899 in Lead, Davies moved with his parents to the Belle Fourche area in 1910, where he had lived since.
         Davies, who had never married, is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Joe A. Julius, Lead; Mrs. Malcolm K. Bosworth, Wheatland, Wyo; and several nieces and nephews residing in the Black Hills including Marlene Julius, Robert Julius, Mrs. Jim Furhman, all of Rapid City; Linda Davies, Tilford, Mrs. Ray Friskey, Lead and Jim Davies of Jeffery City, Wyo. and Jack Davies of Casper, Wyo.

[:CR;]      The final rites were held at the McColley Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Vernon Morrison, Lead Methodist Church, officiating. [:CR;]      Music was provided by Mrs. James Williams who sant "In the Garden" and "Rock of Ages." She was accompanied by Mrs. William Morcom. [:CR;]      Serving as pallbearers were Albert Jeffery, Philip Kissack, both of Spearfish; Arvo Jarvi, Fred Gorwill, Howard Miller and Harry Hitzel, all of Belle Fourche. [:CR;]      Interment was in the West Lead Cemetery.
