A kind man and a good samaritan, affectionately known as "Uncle Larry" to family, friends and neighbors. He loved to garden and shared everything he grew. He loved music and would play song or two for you on his organ as you walked by his home. Born in Carlstadt, NJ, he and his family survived the Great Depression of 1929 and, as a young man, served in World War II both in the Pacific and European Theaters and saw the world. Larry had many occupations in his life; a deli owner with his brother Rich, worked for western Union and then worked for Trubeck Chemical Company until his retirement. Ready to retire in 1973, he moved down to Ocean Beach 1 and lived in one of the cottages that his brothers helped him build. While retired, he enjoyed gardening and being a beachcomber. He is survived by his brother Bill, several nephews and nieces, great-nephews and nieces and great-great-nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one brother Rich and two sisters, Violet and Marion.
