- The following appeared on 19 November 1808 in Poulson's American Daily Advertiser: Died, yesterday morning, at 3 o'clock, capt. John Frankford, aged 54 years; his friends are invited to attend his funeral from the late dwelling, No. 348 South Front street, this afternoon at three o'clock.
- John Frankford's estate was probated on 1 December 1808 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will dated 26 December 1806, Southwark District (later Philadelphia). All estate, real and personal to wife Jane Frankford. After her decease to his six children, viz., Margaret Cullen, Alexander, Catharine, John, Jane and Anna Frankford. Executors: Wife, son Alexander and son-in-law Thomas Cullen.
