  • Flora Ruth Schleisinger was born on 28 August 1884 in Suspension Bridge, Niagara County, New York.
  • She was baptized/christened on 26 October 1884 sponsored by Jacob Ruopp Kelberer. Other sponsors were Louise Rupp and Louise Zeifang.
  • The following appeared on 29 January 1903 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: Miss Jennie O. Schleisinger of Main Street has returned from St. Catharines where she has been visiting her mother Mrs. A. Schleisinger, who is sojourning at The Welland for her health. Miss Florence R. Schleisinger is now with her mother.
  • The following appeared on 17 October 1906 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: The rectory of St. Mary's church was the scene of a very pretty wedding this morning when Miss Jeanette O. Schleisinger became the wife of Mr. James B. Martin, only the members of the immediate family being present. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Flora Schleisinger as maid of honor, while Mr. J. Gregory Martin, a brother of the groom, acted as best man.
         The bride looked beautiful in her traveling suit of brown broadcloth with hat to match. The maid of honor was dressed in white and wore a white picture hat. Immediately following the service the party was driven to the home of the bride, No. 1506 Ontario avenue, where a wedding breakfast was served.
         The various rooms were tastily [=sic] decorated, the color scheme being pink and green.
         Mr. and Mrs. Martin left this afternoon for a trip to New York, Boston, Lake Placid and other eastern points. They will be at home to their many friends after November 1st at Buffalo.
         The bride is one of the most popular young ladies of the city and is the daughter of Mrs. Anna Schleisinger of No. 1506 Ontario avenue. Mr. Martin was for a long time the ticket agent of the New York Central at the local office, but for a year past has been in Buffalo where he is the chief clerk for Harry Parry, general passenger agent of the New York Central.
  • Anna Kelberer appeared in the US federal census of 15 April 1910 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York, with clergyman C. Trebert officiating.. Other members of the household included Flora Ruth Schleisinger.
  • She married Charles E. Haeberle, son of Georg Häberle and Charlotte Walz, on 21 July 1914 in Rochester, New York, by license issued the same day in Monroe County, with clergyman C. Trebert officiating. The marriage was witnessed by James Bernard Martin and Jeanette Olga Schleisinger.
  • Charles E. Haeberle became a widower at her death.

  • The following appeared on 28 February 1916 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: [Died] In this city at Memorial hospital, Monday, Feb. 28, Flora Schliesinger Haeberle, aged 30 years, wife of Charles E. Haeberle; besides her husband she leaves an infant son, her grandmother, Mrs. John Roupp, of 723 Pierce avenue, and one sister, Mrs. James B. Martin of Rochester, N. Y. Funeral will be held from the family home, 1911 Tenth street, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Herman Brezing of German Lutheran church officiating; interment in Mausoleum in Oakwood cemetery.
  • The following appeared on 28 February 1916 in the Niagara Falls Gazette: Mrs. Flora Schleisinger Haeberle, aged 30 years, wife of Charles E. Haeberle, died at 5 o'clock this morning at Louise [sic] Memorial hospital after an illness of six weeks. Almost from the first the attending physicians held out no hope for her recovery, but with a wonderful fortitude she fought off the inevitable. Besides her husband and her infant son, Mrs. Haeberle is survived by one sister, Mrs. James B. Martin, of Rochester, and her grandmother, Mrs. John Ropp of this city.
         Mrs. Haeberle was one of the city's popular young matrons and possessed a wide circle of friends, having lived in Niagara Falls all of her life. She follows to the grave her sister, Mrs. William Nolan, and her mother, Mrs. Schleisinger, both of whom died comparatively recently.
         The funeral service will be held from the family home, No. 1911 Tenth street, Wednesday afternon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Herman Brezing, pastor of the Zion Lutheran church, will officiate. The remains will be placed in the mausoleum in Oakwood cemetery.
