  • Frank Fisher was born on 27 November 1891 in Oswego, Labette County, Kansas.
  • He married Mary L. Chestnut.
  • The following appeared on 12 August 1937 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: The engagement and approaching marriage of Miss Elizabeth Nichols to Louis Fisher was made Saturday evening when Miss Nichols and Miss Ada Mae Wickson entertained in the Nichols home on Travis Street, honoring Miss Eloise McCauley.
         The wedding of Miss Nichols, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Nichols, and Mr. Fisher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher, will be an event of the latter part of the month. Later the young couple will go to Brownwood where both will attend Howard Payne College during the year. Since Miss Nichols' graduation from high school she has been employed at the Kerrville Telephone Co., and the groom-to-be has been attending Simmons University in Abilene for two years.
         Miss McCauley, whose marriage to Charles Oehler will be solemnized next week. . .
  • The following appeared on 13 April 1939 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Fisher and Frank Fisher, Jr., students in the Howard Payne College in Brownwood, spent the Easter vacation in Kerrville with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher, and Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Nichols. Mrs. Fisher, who is a college sophomore, rated the college honor roll with a total of 36 grade points out of a posible 40.
  • The following appeared on 2 April 1942 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: Mrs. Lewis Fisher and daughter, Mary Elizabeth, have returned to their home in Floresville after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher and Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Nichols.
  • The following appeared on 28 May 1942 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Fisher, who have been living in Floresville where Mr. Fisher was a member of the faculty of the public schools, are here for a visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher, and Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Nichols. They will leave later for Austin where Mr. Fisher will attend the summer sessions at the University.
  • The following appeared on 29 April 1943 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Fisher and daughter of Floresville spent the week end in Kerrville with their parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher and Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Nichols.
  • The following appeared on 1 July 1948 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: Mr. and Mrs. Louis Fisher of Austin have announced the birth of a son, Jack Sterling, who was born June 28. The young man is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher and Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Nichols of this city.
  • The following appeared on 3 April 1952 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: Dr. and Mrs. Lewis Fisher and children returned to their home in Kingsville Sunday after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher and Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Nichols. Dr. Fisher, who is a member of the faculty of the A&I College in Kingsville, had been to Austin to attend an educational meeting.
  • The following appeared on 25 December 1958 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: Dr. and Mrs. Louis Fisher and children of Kingsville will spend the Christmas season with their parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher and Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Nichols. Other guests in the fisher home will be Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher Jr., of Pasadena, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Algood and children of Hillsboro, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fisher of Beaumont, who will also visit with Mrs. J. G. Woodard.
  • The following appeared on 26 November 1959 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: Dr. and Mrs. Lewis Fisher and family of Kingsville and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher Jr., and children of Pasadena will be here Thursday for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher. Dr. and Mrs. Lewis Fisher will visit Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Nichols.
  • The following appeared on 30 November 1961 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher had as their guests for the week end Dr. and Mrs. Lewis Fisher and family of Kingsville; Miss Mary Elizabeth Fisher of the University of Austin; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fisher of Corpus Christi; Duane Powell of Carrizo Springs; and Cecil Powell of Big Spring.
  • The following appeared on 14 February 1962 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: Dr. and Mrs. Lewis R. Fisher of Kingsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Elizabeth, to Warner Duane Powell, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Powell of Carrizo Springs. The couple will be married June 2 at the First Baptist Church in Kingsville.
         The bride-elect is a graduate of Henrietta M. King High School, attended Texas College of Arts and Industries in Kingsville, and is now attending the University of Texas. Her fiance was graduated from Carrizo High School and Texas College of Arts and Industries. He is a teacher in Carrizo Springs Junior High School.
         The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher and Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Nichols of this city.
  • The following appeared on 22 May 1968 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: Mrs. Frank Fisher, who is the "Texas Mother of the Year," recently returned from New York City where she represented the state at the annual American Mothers Award activities, was honored with a reception Saturday evening, May 11 in the Trinity Baptist Church. Mrs. Fisher was sponsored by the Bethel Class of the Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
         Dr. Leon Patterson, pastor of the church, and Mrs. O. L. Ely assisted with the greeting of the guests and presented Mr. and Mrs. Fisher and their children, Dr. Lewis Fisher of Kingsville, Clarence Fisher of Port Neches, Harry Fisher of Corpus Christi and Mrs. W. A. Algood of Maybank.
         The granddaughters of the honoree, Mrs. Duane Powell of Carrizo Springs, Mrs. Bob Algood and Miss Nancy Fisher of Corpus Christi were in charge of the guest's book.
         Assisting with the hospitalities were Mesdames Glenn Morrison, L. T. Davis, W. C. Byrd, G. L. Richeson, Harold Granberry, J. W. Blair, Mack Morgan, Frank Nelson and W. H. Slater.
  • The following appeared on 14 November 1974 in the Kerrville Mountain Sun: Week end visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fisher were their son, Dr. Lewis Fisher and wife of Kingsville; granddaughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Powell and daughters, Lesa, Sarah and Susayne of Carrizo Springs; grandson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Fisher and children, Steve and Jennifer of Elgin, and grandson, Lt. and Mrs. Jack Fisher and son, Marco, of Killeen.
  • Frank Fisher died on 5 August 1975 at age 83 in Kerrville, Kerr County, Texas.
  • Mary L. Chestnut became a widow at his death.
  • He was interred at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Kerrville, Kerr County, Texas.
