  • Cora Davis was born circa 1860 in Texas.
  • Dock Davis appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1870 in Clinton PO, DeWitt County, Texas, enumerated next to the household of Granville and Anna DeMent, where Serilla Blackwell was living. He is identified as Dock Davis, age 30. Other members of the household included Cora Davis, William Davis, Henry Davis, Amanda (?) and Minerva Washington. Also in the household are Kitty Davis (21) and Robert Davis (9), and identified with the surname Washington are William (age 8) and Cora (10), Henry (5) and Minerva (3), as well as Amanda Washington (20), who apparently became Dock's wife in 1886 -- and perhaps some of these children were hers and not Dock Davis's (?)
  • Dock Davis appeared in the US federal census of 1 June 1880 enumerated a few households away from Granville and Matilda DeMent, and not far from where Serilla Blackburn was living with her mother.. Other members of the household included Cora Davis, William Davis and Henry Davis.
  • She married John Calvin Taylor on 8 February 1881 in DeWitt County, Texas.
  • Cora Davis became a widow at the between 1920 and 1930 death of her husband John Calvin Taylor.
  • Cora Davis died on 20 April 1937 in Cuero, DeWitt County, Texas.
  • She was interred at Westhoff, DeWitt County, Texas.
